Compost Tea Workshop & Demo

CT Resource Conservation & Development Area (CT RC&D) in partnership with CT Department of Agriculture, CT NOFA, and UConn Extension, launched a Compost Tea Mobile Unit pilot program on five farms through the 2025 growing season. Farmers worked with CT NOFA and UConn Extension staff to learn how to brew, apply, monitor, and test compost tea. CT RC&D in partnership with USDA NRCS will host this educational workshop and on-farm demo of compost tea to further educate farms and service providers about the results of the 2025 Compost Tea Mobile Unit pilot program and the importance of compost in building soil health.
